The officers of The Golden Corral are locked in a desperate battle for their lives and cool guns, with an enemy they cannot see: the Eldar Warp Spiders. Also a sense of dread begins to settle in. Though the Eldar are formidable opponents, it is clear they are not responsible for all the damage to this colony ship. Something deeply sinister lurks in the heart of this ship’s warp core. Something that is perhaps even more powerful even than Captain Shnitzel’s arrogance.

Surprisingly, one-sided combat where the party just fails 9 out of 10 rolls was the most engrossing combat on a RPG play podcast. I can’t imagine how James kept his cool after failing so many rolls. Even when you succeed, you fail.

We need more one sided games run by JPC.

  2. Calm says:

I’m glad you guys can roll with the punches like that. It certainly makes for better listening. There was one thing I noticed though.

The range number isn’t the maximum range, it’s the average. Half the listed number is short (for a +10 bonus to hit), up to twice the listed number is normal. Twice to three times is Long Range (-10 to hit), and three time to four is extreme (-30). Four times the number is max range.

Also, please tell me if I’m being annoying, I don’t want to be that guy.

A note, not very important, but…

The file name for this episode (#119) is ‘one_120.mp3’. It should, of course, be ‘one_119.mp3’.

I noticed because when I went to download the new episode (the actual ‘one_120.mp3’) my computer was telling me I already had it, from a week ago.

  4. Mel Mah says:

I’ve downloaded this episode and tried the Play in New window and I’m noticing that it’s playing as Mythic Mortals instead of the 3rd part of Rogue Trader.

  5. Vanguard0 says:

This might just be a me thing, but When I try to listen to this episode, I get the mythic mortals episode instead.

  6. Driscool says:

It might be because of the wrong file name (like Shawn Wilson said) but it’s now the mythic mortal episode.
We can’t heard the end of rogue trader one-shot anymore.
I hope the true 119 episode still exist somewhere.

  7. Patrick says:

Hey! Sorry about the mix-up. This has been fixed.

  8. Ben Tiefenthaler says:

This is still mixed up in the rss feed, I think. My podcatcher app keeps downloading mythic mortals instead of this episode
