I always feel bad for the random npcs that get whacked, they’re always so polite and helpful!
I appreciate you letting us sample Noisy Person Cards but I have a request, and I understand it may conflict with a design element if the intent was for the card art to inform the players voices rather than a specific noun informing players voices. Never the less my request/suggestion is this; Please include labels under the art in the final game. As I said I understand if you specifically intend for the players to be influenced by the art rather than the idea of a kobold, but I personally wasn’t sure what three of the four sample pictures in the first deck were upon first inspection, so labels identifying the pictures would be help me and truth be told that’s probably going to be the deciding factor as to whether I want to buy and play your final release.
Also congratulations on having made it this far in your development! A lot of other podcast groups mention games they are developing but most I’ve heard about never make it out of closed play tests. You should be proud of yourselves for making it this far, and I look forward to NPCs release… even if it doesn’t have labels. 🙁
I discovered Campaign about a month ago, and I’ve been freebasing prior episodes like a death stick addict (one or two episodes a day during the week on my drive to and from work). Every single episode I listen to makes me laugh, a good, hearty, soul lifting laugh, and your group has become very dear to me. In addition to the laughter, there are times when the group goes through something, and I get to witness how wonderful you folks are as performers, voice actors, and story tellers. In particular, during this episode’s Dear Mynock letter, when Bacta was recounting some of his prior campaigns, and he and Trist began arguing about the Jedi, I could feel the hurt and anguish in Bacta’s voice, as well as the sheer cynicism from Trist. As an occasional Indy film actor, former stage actor, and former infantry soldier, I can truly appreciate James’s performance in particular during that bit, and it does make me wonder if James ever served in the military himself? Aside from that, I want to say that I truly adore you people, and I want to thank you all for bringing me such enjoyment, as well a giving me ideas for the next time I run a Star Wars game. Also, Kat, your thank you to Star Wars from last episode damned near made my eyes leak.
Can’t believe you ended with sex maniac. I was feeling all sad for Bacta then suddenly boom howling with laughter. Thanks.
