I loved these last two episodes of One Shot so much! Your InSpectres story was great.

I haven’t really read much into the rules, but I’ve heard a lot about this game. I was a little bit disappointed in your guys’ actual play though! The one thing I hear about whenever people mention InSpectres is the “Confessional” mechanic, or a scene where one of the players, in character, sits herself aside and addresses the rest of the players as if they were the audience of the “InSpectres Reality TV” show. The rules for these kinds of scenes are on page 48 of the PDF I own if you have no idea what I’m talking about.

I was only disappointed because it seemed like such a perfect thing for you guys! I’m sure you could have found hilarious ways to utilize this otherwise pretty unique narrative mechanic. I wonder if you left it out consciously? Or maybe it just got skimmed over by whoever read the rules?

I understand y’all are probably trying to get through has many different games as possible, but I loved this two-shot so much anyway, I would certainly enjoy listening to a second go in the future.

Anyway, keep up the good work! Your guys’ podcast is one of the first I reccomend when my nerd friends ask me for new things to listen to.

    1. That’s an optional rule, I think I’ll implement it in a sequel episode if we revisit these guys. I knew it was going to be a crazy episode I wanted to reign it in a little. Next time we will absolutely use confessionals!
