One of the worst parts about falling in love is that it sometimes doesn’t work out. Looking back on failed relationships it can feel like you have experienced the worst behavior humanity has to offer. Designer Ron Edwards channeled that awfulness into It Was a Mutual Decision. A game about breaking up that suggests our worst selves might not be human at all.
Teddy (Kat Kuhl, Ali Barthwel, Liz Anderson) is your classic Chicago sad boy. Kelly (James D’Amato, Alex Manich, and Peter Williams) is a pumpkin spice latte given human form. We are about to watch them end a relationship. Also, one of them might be a wererat.

IT WAS A MUTUAL DECISION
I thought I wouldn’t like this episode what with the “horrible breakup” theme, but I think I popped a blood vessel while holding back the laughter.
Does it always have to be rats in this system? I just feel like it’d get awfully repetitive with rat-based symbolism every time you tried it. Is changing that up to, like, crows allowed? I want my break-ups to be incited by Hitchcock himself.
The system sites rats, I personally think it can be adapted to other things. The system is very light so it should be easy to hack.

Agreed, this one was hilarious, cant wait for the next part!
D: So many things I don’t understand, so it’s hard to laugh at this episode. Maybe I’ll understand it when I’ve had a real relationship.
