Episode Card 24So remember how at the end of last episode we joked about it taking 2 more episodes to actually get through the concert before finally meeting this band of truly, truly, truly outrageous space pirates? Yeah. Aheheheh… about that.

  2. Dendrict says:

Man it took me like 3 minutes to recognize the last song. Great choice.

    1. Jeffrywith1e says:

Wait, what? I didn’t recognize it, what was it?

  3. AlcopopStar says:

this was a really fun episode!

  4. Emmori says:

Wait, Bacta’s getting drunk and making out with dangerous women, and Tryst is carefully scoping out the situation?

(Also the Nemo reveal was awesome, great episode!)

    Hi again!

Lovely episode, Johnny is hilarious. Wanted to let you know that a way you can do opposed rolls is determining who is the “engaging party” and then converting the opposed party’s skill to difficulty dice. So for example, when somebody wants to charm Bacta, it’d be his/her charm (YYG) versus Bacta’s cool (YGG converted to two difficulty dice and 1 challenge die). If I’m unclear (english isn’t my native language), this can be found on page 24 in the Edge of the Empire Core Rulebook while social skill interactions (acting and opposing skills) are described on page 113.

    Great episode!

    1. Thanks, This is really helpful!

Was… Tryst the most competent and professional member of the team this episode? Leenik completely blows his cover. Bacta lets himself be photographed by a reporter. Meanwhile Tryst is scoping out the scene, slyly pouring out his drinks so he can feign drunkenness…

Calling it right now. Tryst has been captured and swapped out with a Clawdite assassin.

    1. To be fair, Bacta let himself get identity scanned by a bounty hunter with 43 confirmed kills, not photographed by a reporter.

      1. abookfulblockhead says:

True. I posted that comment mere seconds before Bacta pulled that stunt. He then went the very Tryst-like route of kissing her…

If it weren’t for the very prominent invoking of Bacta’s Lesai addiction, I’d almost have said you two switched places. Possibly due to very clever makeup by Leenik.

        1. As soon as Bacta figured out what was happening he tried to handle the situation like Tryst.

    2. Connorses says:

To be fair, Tryst is focused on the girl band of beautiful women at the moment.

hey, I just officially finished listening to the entire archive (at least the non secret stuff) and I just want to thank James and Kat and anyone else connected to the show for making roll playing games feel way more accessible and less scary. until listening to this podcast and the other two connected ones I didn’t realize that roll playing games are kind of what I’ve been looking for in games and stuff for forever without knowing. so….. yeah… thanks you guys are awesome.

also I’m forever impressed at your ability to delay plot <3

    1. Thank you so much for listening! Helping more people find the hobby is one of the reasons we started the show. It’s good to know that our plan is working.

I am SO happy that you guys are seemingly unable to finish this concert. The best gaming groups (in my opinion) are the ones that goof around in-game and take forever to do the main plot.
As long as your players (and listeners) are having fun, the game is a success…

…and I am having the BEST time listening to the barely-controlled chaos! 😀

    1. Erich says:

I completely agree. Love the pacing. Love the show! Keep it coming!

      1. Krystal says:

I love the show, but I somehow both love and hate how it’s taken them so many episodes to prepare to meet the Kaiburr Crystals. The things the crew gets up to make up slightly for the fact that the plot is moving slower than a snail trying to swim up a waterfall. What happens at the end of this episode is a nice possible change of pace for the plot snail.
